As suppliers of women’s wholesale clothing, we here at One 2 Wear always notice the changing trends of the fashion world, this year has a seen a whole range of trends come and go, we are not necessarily sure if they are changing faster than ever, however, it seems the fashion press are having difficulty keeping up with it.
There have been so many articles online this week discussing how 2016’s ‘90s’ fashion revival may actually now be giving way for classier decades such as the ‘70s’, so is the fashion of the 1990’s right to be envious of what most consider the stylish decade in the last 40 years? Most probably.
Do not get me wrong the 90’s was the decade that brought us some stylish clothing, most of which followed the art of the decade, the Grunge scene and Brit Pop being just two examples. Perhaps my memory is a little jaded now, but was the 1990’s known much for its summer wear? I can’t really remember, to be honest, I was too busy enjoying my sportswear back then.
The 70’s, on the other hand, is said to have been the decade of beach wear. Sounds perfect for the summer, doesn’t it. Of course, I will just have to take their word for it as I was born until the 1980s, and the less said about the fashion from that decade, the better.
So what did the 1970s, the decade of beach wear - bring us? Well, the Maxi dress, flared trousers, lace-up tops, to name just a few things, and these items are still staples of the 2016 wardrobe. As most of our time is taken up delivering exciting wholesale ladies fashion UK wide, we do not always have the time to follow every political story that hits the headlines, however, one such story caught our eye this week. She may only have been in office for a couple of days but it seems that the incoming Prime Minister of Britain, Teresa May has already given the fashion industry her endorsement.
